Most of my vacant time while I'm in the studio my mind cant stop thinking of body movements. From the different types of dances like Latin, hip hop, pop jazz to weight lifting, crunches etc. This is all my preparation for my usual aerobic classes. This time my mind, is set to two things Yoga and Pilates alone.
This week i tried the following:
V-sit- at first it hurts my sitting bone, now i can even hold it for 5mins.It elongates legs.Improves balance and poise.
Sweet Kisses- from v-sit pose, i close my legs together and pulled it to my chest so i can kiss my knees for a greater challenge. Promotes stronger core.
Wonderful lift- i start pulling my hips off the mat, leaving my fingers and feet on the floor to support and when I'm ready for action i gently lift my legs, extending it forward to emphasize super powerful abs, arms and shoulder.
Pendulum Swing- hanging one leg first on other shoulder while keep both hands or fingers on floor for support, overlap other leg to the opposite, then if you're ready take a deep long breath as you lift hips off the mat, let swing both legs sideways. For stronger arms and core.
Half moon- from triangle pose, slowly walk fingers forward as i lift other legs of the mat to 90 degrees angle. Leaving one hand and one foot supporting, free hand grab other free foot to stretch out quads and open the chest.Improve balance and poise.
